More about myself: I go to Southwest Baptist University. When school is in session I attend Southern Hills Baptist Church.
We have discussi
ons and Bible study in Sunday School. We sing praises and worship during Sunday services and then someone gives the message. As of the post date we are looking for a pastor, so I get to hear from a lot of Biblical studies scholars at SBU preach as well as many others. God is working in our church. At the traditional invitation we give each week, there have been several added to the Church. They were confessed their sins to Christ, then they decided to trust and follow him. That is very important to Christ and it was given to us in the great commission.

As a college student I don't always know where I'm going to be. While school is not in session I either have a job or am looking for one. In my home town of Salem, Missouri I go to Corinth Baptist Church south of Salem. This church has always worked well together and worked hard. We have built Christmas floats, put on Christmas plays, cut wood during storms, put on fun Vacation Bible Schools and done all sorts of things trying to spread the gospel. VBS's almost always involve water balloon volley ball as well as lessons and memory verses. Our Pastor is Dwayne Cartwright and he preaches sermons on several different chapters of the Bible. He preaches from both the old and new testament very clearly. This is the church I was raised and Baptized in.While I was working in Springfield one summer I attended Jefferson Avenue Baptist Church. I can vouch for it as being a church that loves the Lord and seeks to know more about him. The Sunday Services are pretty regular, but I would call in advance if to get involved with Sunday school, don't be shy. They say they don't have Sunday school, they have life-groups that help them all the time. This could mean that they give you a map to someones house after church on a piece of scratch paper, but that is how they get the Good News out, by living and talking amongst the people of Springfield. We had a great lunch before life group.
Also, I must mention this churches foreign missionary focus, they love to get the Good News out everywhere and many members have went overseas.
I'm not listing all this because I believe life is all about going to church. I do not think that missing a service is really a sin. I'm listing these so I can tell the people I witness to how to better get involved in learning about and serving the Lord. That is my purpose, to exalt God.
